The Management Committee of the Independent Social Support Body (ISSB) informs the public that students from families affected by the wildfire in the semi-mountainous area of Limassol last July may, under certain conditions, fall under Category C.4 of the Emergency Event criterion, namely “Natural disaster/ any disaster that seriously/critically/drastically/substantially and directly affects the socioeconomic status of the family”.
These conditions include the total destruction of the family’s residence, provided that it was used as their main and permanent place of residence, or the destruction of the family’s business activities (agriculture, livestock farming, warehouse), that has seriously/critically/drastically/substantially and directly affected the financial status of the family.
Furthermore, a basic condition is that no rule of the legislation governing the operation of the ISSB is violated. More information regarding the rules and beneficiaries of the ISSB can be found on our website.
